What is Beacon all about?

Beacon is a platform where you can access all technical assets to learn how to confidently install, deploy, and optimize Palo Alto Networks technology. You can view all of our free digital learning offerings for Palo Alto Networks entire product portfolio.


How to Stay Up-To-Date on Your Favorite Beacon Content

Create a personalized homepage with content that matters to YOU! All you have to do is click the "follow" button and Beacon does the rest.

When you follow different topics on Beacon, that content is automatically added to your homepage so you can have easy access right when you log in.

The system will automatically notify you when new content is added, that way you always have the freshest information at your fingertips.


How to Browse Product Trainings

Click Strata, Prisma, or Cortex on your homepage to immediately view all of our free digital learning by product type.

Alternatively, you can Search for a specific topic or use the Topics drop-down list (shown below) and select from any category.

By organizing content into topics, Beacon makes it easy to discover the information you need. Simply click Browse Trainings on your homepage or in the navigation bar.

As your browsing and discovering trainings, you'll start to notice a theme to the new Beacon artwork. Artwork is now correlated to product and type of learning to create a more visually organized experience

Colors:

  • Orange: Palo Alto Networks (or a combination of multiple products)
  • Blue: Prisma
  • Yellow: Strata
  • Green: Cortex
  • Grey: Historical Activity

How to Continue Your Education

  1. If you launched a digital learning and have not completed it, the training will appear under "Recently Viewed" on your homepage.
  2. Click on the in-progress training to launch the activity and continue where you left off on your learning journey.

How to View Your Learning History

To view all content you have completed or started, go to your History page.

  1. Click the profile icon in the top right corner
  2. Select History from the dropdown menu
  3. Click All Statuses to toggle your view by status (Viewed, Started, Passed, Failed, and Removed).
